Miraterra, an engineering and construction company belonging to the J.J. Louro Group, was responsible for the construction of the Rio Maior Student Residence, located within the campus of the Sports School of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (IPS).
The building, with a gross construction area of over 3,000 square metres, provides 121 new beds for student accommodation and also includes furniture and rest solutions from the J.J. Louro Group’s brands.
From the 2024/2025 academic year, the neediest students and displaced students will have all the comfort they need to continue their studies in this residence.
The rooms, most of which are doubles, have been furnished with beds, bedside tables and desks developed by Lomm, and Lourini® wardrobes. For the mattresses, the Classic Suite model was chosen, with bonel springs, which is part of the Lusocolchão hotel catalogue and meets the highest standards of excellence in terms of comfort, quality, design and performance. The common areas have multipurpose tables and chairs and Modlyne armchairs, sofas and side tables, available from the Lomm catalogue.
The new Student Residence in Rio Maior is a long-awaited project for the city’s educational community. The project was divided into two phases, both carried out by Miraterra, and was inaugurated at the beginning of June as part of the IPS 45th anniversary celebrations.
