Senior Residence in Amiais de Cima is a work of Miraterra

An important work in the region, the Francisca Cereja Senior Residence, at the intersection of Rua Dr. Carlos Nunes Ferreira and Rua dos Amieiros, in Amiais de Cima, was built by Miraterra.

It is a private work which belongs to the Cruz Marques Foundation, created by Ivo Cruz Marques, a local benefactor and a confessed “sentimentalist”. “I would like the work to be done by someone local. Miraterra was the choice of my heart”.

Named in honour of his paternal grandmother, the building with approximately 3 thousand square meters, consists of 12 double rooms and four single rooms and should have a capacity for 35 to 40 users, supported by about thirty employees.

In the future, it may evolve into a day centre and have other added values acting in synergy with the Centro Social Paroquial de Santa Margarida de Abrã (CSPSMA), where Ivo Marques replaced, in the direction board, his friend and compatriot Comendador Joaquim José Louro Pereira.

The ground floor comprises living and activity rooms, dining room, kitchen and support offices. On the first floor are located the bedrooms, living room with pantry, linen room and other support areas.

The construction of Miraterra is completed, but some details in the equipment and the necessary inspections are still missing before it can open to the public, which should happen in the first half of 2023.
