Production Support Department wins 1st Sustainable Christmas Tree competition

With a total of more than 3200 likes distributed among the two dozen trees in competition, the 1st edition of the J.J. Louro Sustainable Christmas Tree was a success.

The Human Resources Development Department’s initiative consisted of mobilising departments and sections to use recycled materials or factory waste and let their imagination run wild with the creation of an original and, above all, sustainable Christmas tree.

The Christmas trees were then put to the vote on social media, with the tree made by the team from the Production Support Department + Hulls in Amiais de Cima garnering the most likes, with a total of 449 (at 12 noon on 22 December 2023, the deadline for voting).

A tree made from wood from the hulls section, designed and built by Carlos Lisboa and Alfredo Batista and decorated by Isabel Brissos, Marisa Louro, Olga Meireles, Marta Soares and Arminda Sousa, which shows the true spirit of mutual help between colleagues, departments and sections.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who took part in this challenge which, during the Christmas season, brought colour and joy to the J.J. Louro Group premises. Thanks also to those who voted and made the competition more lively.
