Miraterra concluded the cycle path that integrates the stretch of the Almeirim Ring Road between Estrada do Moinho de Vento and Estrada da Barreira Branca, in the Pupo area, and its connection with Avenida da Liberdade, in a total length of about 1000 meters.
Named after José Sousa Gomes, in honour of the historic former Mayor of Almeirim, this section aims to remove heavy and passing traffic from inside the city of Almeirim, while simultaneously offering a mobility promenade that enables the circulation, separately, of both cyclists and pedestrians.
This promenade, where LED public lighting has been installed, is separated from the carriageway by concrete kerbstones and bordered by fencing on the part bordering the surrounding agricultural land, for greater safety.
The mobility path is another Miraterra signature project, designed to improve the quality of life and well-being of the region’s population.
