Parque do Rio extends along Avenida dos Combatentes and brings a new life to this area of the city of Rio Maior. The work, under the responsibility of Miraterra, included the construction of walking areas, playgrounds, rest areas, with urban support furniture, picnic areas, an amphitheater, several pedestrian and cycling bridges, green areas and constant contact with the river, whose banks have been stabilized.
It was also up to Miraterra (through the metalworking section of J.J. Louro Group) to develop and apply the metal letters that designate the Villa Romana integrated in the park.
The inauguration of the new Parque do Rio took place on Saturday, June 26, with the presence of the mayor of Rio Maior Luís Santana Dias, the former mayor Isaura Morais, the president of the Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Tourism Authority, Vítor Silva, engineer Paulo Virtudes, director at Miraterra, engineer João Martins, responsible for the project, and the administrator of Grupo J.J. Louro, Ricardo Pereira, among other guests.
