Identifying and responding quickly and effectively to a fire outbreak is crucial for the safety of people and property.
In a fire scenario, it is essential that the employees who make up the first intervention team know their competences and functions, so that they can act calmly and without risk until the fire brigade arrives.
To this end, J.J. Louro Pereira’s Amiais de Cima unit provided these employees with 1st Intervention Fire Brigade training on 7 and 21 February.
The training was carried out in collaboration with the Alcanena Municipal Fire Brigade and comprised a theoretical part, in which the means of intervention and the behaviour of each element in fire scenarios were identified. And a practical component, using the means available on site, such as fire extinguishers or the internal fire-fighting vehicle, which was used to simulate the first action in a fire scenario in a sawdust storage silo.
