J.J. Louro signs protocol with Ribatejo Technical and Professional School

J.J. Louro Group has established a cooperation protocol with the Technical and Professional School of Ribatejo (ETPR). The document, signed in Amiais de Cima by Martinha Duro, pedagogical director of EPTR, and Elsa Benavente, director of the Human Resources Development Department of the J.J. Louro Group, establishes the guidelines for the development of a partnership through which ETPR students will have the support of the J.J. Louro Group in training activities and the possibility of doing internships in the various companies of the Group.

The partnership also foresees the promotion of employment for students and former students of this school, both young people and adults who attended the Qualifica Program, represented in the signing of the protocol by teacher Maria de Jesus Florindo.

Besides the signing of the document there was also a visit to the Group’s facilities in Amiais de Cima, where almost two dozen students of the 12th grade of the Electrotechnical course got to know the several production units, guided by Elsa Benavente and Liliana Fraústo, from the Human Resources Development Department, and by Jorge Boulhosa, coordinator of the J.J. Louro Export Commercial Department.

ETPR has been teaching since 2002 and currently offers training in the following areas: child and youth support services; beauty care; computer science; commerce; electronics and automation; electricity and energy, and chemical process technology.

With a more practical and labor-market oriented teaching and learning methodology, this educational institution, headquartered in Tremês, Santarém, and with a branch in Alenquer, aims to increase the supply of highly qualified staff in its region.
