At the end of October, the J.J. Louro Group took part in a session to present internship and job opportunities at the Group’s companies to students from the Santarém branch of CENFIM – the Centre for Professional Training in the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry.
Elsa Benavente, Director of Human Resources Development at Grupo Louro, and Cláudia Couto, Human Resources Technician, together with the Maintenance Technician, Gonçalo Gomes, presented to an audience of 45 students, from three classes of the Electromechanics and Industrial Maintenance Technician courses, the possibilities open to them in the different companies that make up the Group.
This was part of the protocol established in 2021 between the J.J. Louro Group and CENFIM, which provides for the possibility of internships and the development of synergies to promote the employment of students and alumni of this training centre.
The technical training areas covered are Industrial Maintenance, Metallurgy and Metalworking; Health and Safety at Work; Mechatronics; and Welding.
According to Elsa Benavente, the Group’s presence in the region’s schools ‘allows us to convey our message in a personal and authentic way, establishing a connection with the students from day one’. Cláudia Couto and Gonçalo Gomes emphasise ‘the unique moment when curiosity became intertwined with experience’.
