The J.J. Louro Group continues to contribute to the Voluntary Association of the Santarém District Hospital (HDS) in its initiative to distribute heart cushions and ‘travelling’ cushions.
These cushions bring a little more comfort to cancer patients while they are receiving chemotherapy treatments in the Oncology Unit at HDS.
Each cushion has its own function. The hearts are used to place in the armpit and provide greater comfort to mastectomised women or those with any pathology that requires the removal of the sentinel node. The ‘travelling’ pillows are used to relieve the neck during long hours of chemotherapy.
The J.J. Louro Group is delighted to continue collaborating in this project by donating foam to fill the cushions made by volunteers from Dress a Girl, in Fazendas de Almeirim, and HDS.
