The Pedreiras Health Unit, one of the three units of the Family Health Unit (USF) Novos Horizontes, of Porto de Mós, was inaugurated on 24 May after being refurbished by Miraterra.
The building was entirely renovated and now has eight medical offices and a lift to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
Miraterra’s intervention solved several structural problems of this building, which is about 30 years old, and altered it to meet the conditions required for the USF Novos Horizontes.
The goal of creating better conditions of safety and comfort for health professionals and users was largely achieved.
The inauguration plaque was unveiled by the Chairman of Pedreiras Parish Council, Pedro Pragosa, the Mayor of Porto de Mós, Jorge Vala, the representative of the Centre Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRC), Isabel Damasceno, and the member of the Board of Directors of the Centre Regional Health Administration (ARSC), Mário Ruivo.
