The employees of Lavandaria Social Girassol visited the J.J. Louro Group’s factories in Amiais de Cima, as well as the showroom where the finished products are presented.
The Girassol Social Laundry, which was awarded the Maria José Nogueira Pinto prize in 2022, is a social innovation project run by the Santa Margarida de Abrã Parish Social Centre (CSPSMA), a Private Institution of Social Solidarity set up by Commander Joaquim José Louro Pereira, which supports several households in the region in situations of economic and social need, namely by promoting employment.The visit to the Louro Group, led by Beatriz Cruz, the Group’s Human Resources technician, and accompanied by Chief Happiness Officer Sofia Rodrigues and Social Work trainee Ana Carolina Leal, is part of CSPSMA’s strategy of focusing on Corporate Happiness and involving employees and beneficiaries in the institution’s purpose, so that they feel they are contributing to a better world.
