In order to test the effectiveness of self-protection measures, the Mãe Celeste Nursery recently carried out a fire drill.
Training and improving the level of preparedness and operability of the teams involved, the equipment related to fire safety, and the coordination and readiness of internal teams, were also successfully achieved, with the exercise and evacuation taking place normally.
The drill, which involved a fire in the kitchen, enabled safety routines to be reinforced and procedures to be fine-tuned for both children and staff.
The commitment to a culture of protection and safety followed by the J.J. Louro Group is also reflected in the Mãe Celeste Nursery, a facility created in 2011 by Joaquim José Louro Pereira, with the help of Father António Martins Pereira, in honour of the mother of the founder of the Louro Group.
The Mãe Celeste Nursery, in Amiais de Cima, was the first social response of the Parish Social Centre of Santa Margarida de Abrã, a Private Social Solidarity Institution activated by Mr. Comendador Joaquim José Louro Pereira, with the aim of providing a space of quality and excellence for children from three months to three years of age.
