Digital security is also well-being

As part of May – Health and Well-being Month, the sessions on cybercrime and digital literacy demonstrate the J.J. Louro Group’s concern to provide its employees with tools for a more complete well-being – also in the online world.

On 8 May, the Sewing Unit in Porto de Mós and the auditorium at the head office in Amiais de Cima hosted workshops in partnership with APAV – Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima. The sessions were attended by Gustavo Duarte, a psychologist and assistant manager of the Victim Support Office at the APAV centre in Santarém.

More than just talking about online risks and threats, these sessions were intended to be moments of awareness and sharing, where the importance of a balanced, critical and safe use of digital tools was reinforced. With examples from everyday life, issues were raised that touch everyone – from the sharing of images on social networks to less visible dangers such as emotional manipulation in virtual environments or identity theft. A video was also shared calling for awareness of our actions.

This initiative reflects the J.J. Louro Group’s commitment to the full protection of its employees, not only in the workplace but also outside it. Today, investing in well-being also means helping people to navigate the digital world safely.
