Chair sector with new facilities and equipment

The chair sector has new facilities and new equipment that have contributed to improving working conditions and greater efficiency.

Chair painting was grouped with the upholstery sector, where a new upholstery line was created. A change that, according to Ricardo Pinto, Director of Upholstery Production at J.J. Louro, results from the company’s effort to centralize production.

With the expansion of the upholstery installations, a new, more eficiente layout was implemented, with the foaming sector changing its location, with the creation of a new paint booth (larger and with higher production capacity) and with the creation of a new upholstery line intended to centralize the production of armchairs and geriatric chairs.

The new arrangement has the advantages of increasing space and its production capacity. However, Ricardo Pinto highlights the improvement of working conditions for employees as the main advantage: “Today, the chair sector is part of the upholstery and we have our employees working in a light-filled pavilion, with modern upholstery benches and a unique and modernized paint booth”.
