Last Sunday, 15 June, a deeply emotional and symbolic ceremony took place in Amiais de Cima, as part of the festivities in honour of the Holy Trinity. A bust was inaugurated and a plaque unveiled in honour of Commander Joaquim José Louro Pereira, founder of the J.J. Louro Group.
The event, which took place next to the local primary school, brought together family, friends and members of the community, paying tribute to a figure whose vision, entrepreneurship and generosity left an indelible mark on the region and the history of our Group.
The ceremony was filled with great emotion, reflecting the deep respect and affection that the community has for someone who, through hard work and a spirit of solidarity, helped to build much more than a business group – a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
The bust and the plaque were unveiled by João Teixeira Leite, Mayor of Santarém, and Mrs Isabel Brissos, Mr Comendador’s life partner. Other mayors from the region were also present at this ceremony organised by Ivo Cruz Marques, in collaboration with the Abrã Parish Council.
