The pedestrian walkway linking the parking lot to the river beach of Olhos d’Água, in the Parish of Malhou, Louriceira and Espinheiro, is finished. A Miraterra signature work aimed at enhancing and improving the accessibility to this place, one of the landmarks of the municipality of Alcanena.
The walkway, about 300 meters long, was built in autoclave-treated wood to ensure its aesthetic integration in the surrounding landscape. It has two resting points from which you can enjoy moments of rest and contemplation of the river.
Besides the pedestrian walkway, Miraterra was also the company responsible for the stabilization and requalification of the right bank of the Alviela River, along the extension of the walkway, using natural engineering techniques such as the use of living support walls made of wood structure with stone coating, organic blanket, local soil, live stakes, plants and hydro-sowing.
The walkway is part of a more comprehensive intervention in place that also provides, in a second phase, the requalification of the parking lot.
